TARTE Amazonian Clay Blush in “Natural Beauty”
Have you heard of Tarte Cosmetic? I have been eyeing Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour blush for some time now, and after observations and hesitations, I settled with the shade “Natural Beauty”, which is a medium, deep pink-red. The compact is cute, and the colour of the compact reflects the shade. This is my very first red blush, and it is pigmented at the very first swipe. A light hand is needed when applying this blush.
Every lady needs a RED blush in their life. It is a colour for all occasion and suits every skin tone.
Now all Tarte Amazonian Clay blushes are formulated with Amazonian clay that provides longer lasting power than normal powder blushes. Also, Amazonian Clay blushes have Vitamin C & E to hydrate the skin. Since this matte blush contains clay and has a hard texture, I was initially worried that the blush may appear patchy on me. However, this red blush does not look flat at all!
Not powdery, and does not accentuate dryness/patchiness.
I have worn this Natural Beauty for 10 hours, and the colour still goes on strong. I like to use this blush when I am out and about with a smaller bag as I do not need to touch up or check on my cheeks, so I do not need to carry the blush with me all the time. This is by far the longest wearing blush I have ever used in my life.
I find soft brushes work well with this clay blush but NOT dense brushes. It gives a natural flush of colour on the cheeks, sort of in-the-cold look, without looking forever-embarrassed. I have also tried to use it like how I would on cream blushes – using fingers to dab on my cheeks for a stronger red!
Applied lightly, so this blush can last a LONG time!
I got my hands on this for RM120 at Sephora, Starhill Kuala Lumpur. The last I checked, I was pretty taken by Amused, which is a bright pink. I have also heard that Tarte have released some new blushes for Spring 2014. (Dear wallet, are you ready?)
