Today I’m in the mood to show you my very 1st FOTD at work, so kindly bear with me as I ain’t no makeup guru!
For my base, I applied YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat in B20 with my fingers all over my face for a natural, dewy look. I sometimes skip using any primer or make up base before applying this YSL foundation because this foundation holds up pretty well with my favourite sunblock (to be reviewed soon). I always get 6 hours of wear from this light coverage foundation before it starts to fade a little, but with a little touch up using a pressed powder, I’m all good for the rest of the day.
Next, I decided to use Giorgio Armani ETK silk eye shadow No.33 Scarab Violetta for a wash of colour on my eye lids before using ETK silk eye shadow No. 3 Purpura to line my upperline and waterline. I then used Sephora’s Full Action Extreme Effect Mascara (Blue) on my lashes after using RMK’s eyelash curler to curl them. To fill my brows, I used Lunasol Brow Styling Pencil GB 02 Grayish Brown.
After that, I use my fingers to apply HerbaLine Rose Cream on my cheeks for a light, rosy flush. I continued to set my makeup using Chanel Natural Finish Loose Powder (No.20 Clair) and layered on the rose cream as a blusher. FYI, that rose cream can also be doubled up as a liptint, but I prefer using it as a blusher as I have very dry lips.
To finish off the look, I used Dior Serum de Rouge No. 875 (Magenta), which is a bright pink magenta, because it is not drying on my lips and the shade looks very feminine. Although the word “magenta” might sound too loud or bright to some, it is actually very appropriate during the day.
I feel this look is so Spring-ready! Tell me, which look should I try next?
