Be Fair & Lovely with Guerlain Meteorites Blanc De Perle 1!

If you had to pick an item from Guerlain, it has got to be its famous balls – the Meteorites! Known as light revealing pearls of powder, most makeup junkies would love to own one not only because they are cute, but also because how unique they are.

Guerlain Meteorites 1

Sharing with you today is a Limited Edition product from Blanc de Perle collection, which is already available here in Malaysia,  shade number 1. Guerlain has three permanent meteorites – 2, 3, and 4, and they are all retailed at RM195 each.

25g will last AGES even if you use it everyday!

The numbers reflects the shade that is made suitable for one’s skintone, so this radiance powder from Blanc de Perle collection this year would not be suitable for deeper skin tones as the brightening effect would turn ashy on the skin instead.

What is that light revealing pearls of powder, you asked? This magical, light-creating polymer contains a heavenly powder that transform light incisible to the naked eye, creating a perfecting halo upon contact with the skin. Instantly dispelled, lines and imperfections fade away. Beneath a veil of light, the face is illuminated. In short, the pearls harness light to reveal radiant skin.

Now, each Meteorites tin has its own signature corrective shades to even out the complexion, and with Blanc de Perle 1, I see balls in mauve, pink, yellow, and white. Mauve is to catch the light, pink for a youthful glow, yellow is to offset excess redness, and lastly, pure white for a luminous, transparent veil. Used together, this divine pearls recreate the glow of white light on the skin to hightlight the skin’s purity.

Guerlain Meteorites 01

Similar with its permanent collection, Guerlain Meteorites 1 has a puff that is not meant to be used on the face or you will get patches of the powder everywhere. Use a face brush or Meteorites brush to sweep across the face, or gently apply in circular strokes on the forehead, nose, cheekbones, chin, and decollete. Although the illuminating powder could be used alone, I prefer to use it over foundation.

Guerlain Meteorites 01

This is my fourth Meteorite powder that I own, and each of them are not permanent. I just love all of them, and please don’t ask me why I got the LE instead! I just love them. Period. I have heard that some even collect every single Meteorites tin available. I love the pretty glimmer of stardust effect I get by using them, but I am not THAT crazy to get every single shade available, knowing some shades is darker or some purchase is unnecessary.

This one, however, would be essential for fair-skinned lovelies who want subtle brightening effect. Unlike Meteorites 01 from the previous Blanc de Perle collection, Meteorites 1 from this year’s Blanc de Perle collection is not as shimmery.

Another lovely point that I need to share is that despite that this is a NON-MATTIFYING finishing powder, I actually found that the radiance powder is good at controlling oil.

If you have not seen any of the meteorites powder, head to Guerlain counter in Isetan KLCC, Isetan The Gardens or Parkson Pavilion KL to check them out in person. Don’t say I never warn you, they smell amazing and they are adorable to bits! Every lady should have at least one Meteorites powder on her vanity table.

With love,

  1. Dear LY, this just sounds so lovely and now that I’ve started working and am no longer a student, I can finally splurge on one tin. LOL. Btw, is the price still RM195?

    • Hi Joy,
Nice to hear from you! Yes, the price was hiked up from last year’s RM181… not to worry though, once you get your hands on one lovely tin, it is definitely going to last and last… I hav been using the older ones 4 times a week, and the balls, although downsized, still works! ^^
