Although my country has no four seasons for its citizens to enjoy and endure, I eagerly anticipate each and every new makeup collection that is released every season or pre-season! Spring came early for us as the Dior counters have its Trianon collection even before 2014 (pictures here), and that makes me happy because I was not too keen with last holiday and Fall collection.
I am very excited to share with you the first item I have gotten myself from the Trianon collection. It is the Makeup Palette for Glowing Eyes & Fresh Complexion in Favourite (001)! Err…let’s regard it the Favourite makeup palette (forget its lengthy name, please), which carries 3 eye shadow colours, an eyeliner colour and a blush.
I think the packaging is pretty adorable and elegant, and this makeup palette is so travel-friendly. It comes with two tiny eye shadow brushes and a small blush brush, which will come in handy when you want to do some light travelling. I prefer makeup palettes that come with a pink blush instead of lip colours because it IRKS me every time I see eye shadow colours being mixed with my lip colours from the same palette (Guerlain Liu Eye & Lip Palette, if only you had a separate lid to cover the lip colours). Powders should stay with powders in the same palette, not a mix, or it will get rather messy, no?
Judging from the above swatches, I understand some might forgo this collection already since the colours are so light. However, if you are fair-skinned and are into lighter colours or pastels, this collection or this Favourite Makeup Palette will please you. The other makeup palette, Coquette (002) will be more suitable for beauties with medium skin tones. All the five colours in the makeup palette stays on well for 8 hours before slight fading. Those who are worried that the green does not show up since it is s so light, this is how I make it work:
I like this palette due to its concept of being travel-friendly and the happy combination of colours, so I hope and wish Dior will produce palettes like this for the Fall or Holiday collection, that has darker, vampy colours or shimmers and glitters!
This palette is now available for purchase at all Dior counters for RM230. Would you indulge yourself with a palette like this?
